About Maria

After spending most of my life believing that I had to put aside my own needs to take care of others, I finally realized that I do not have to choose between being self-compassionate and compassionate to others.

I have learned that I can do both at the same time which provides me with a deep sense of abundance and meaning. Fortunately, the more self-compassionate I am, the more positive energy I have to care for and meet the needs of others.

My Mission

As an Ojibwe Elder, I have come to learn, that the only way stigma can affect me and attached to the Indigenous people, is if I relinquish my control and allow that stigma to affect me.

With education and compassion for all people, along with my passion and patience to share knowledge, my mission is to control, if not remove, the stigma held by some of society.
